Android: raffica di bug coinvolgono (tra gli altri) Asus, LG, ZTE e Sony

L’annuncio al DEF CON di Las Vegas. I bug riguardano firmware e app preinstallate che aprono la strada ad attacchi di ogni genere.

Di solito, quello delle vulnerabilità in Android è uno stillicidio che accompagna gli esperti di sicurezza con inesorabile regolarità e frequenza. Questa volta, però, i ricercatori di Kryptowire hanno scaricato sul mondo Android una vagonata di falle di sicurezza senza precedenti.

Il bilancio complessivo è di 47 vulnerabilità che interessano 25 modelli di smartphone. Tra i produttori, oltre ai soliti “piccoli”, ci sono anche attori di primo piano del settore come Asus; LG; Nokia; Sony e ZTE.

Nel mirino degli analisti sono finite funzionalità del firmware, app preinstallate e tutta una serie di strumenti e funzioni che mettono seriamente a rischio la sicurezza dei dispositivi in questione.

Nell’elenco si trova un po’ di tutto: dalla possibilità di estrarre gli SMS dal dispositivo attraverso un’app (oltre che inviarli e modificarli senza che sia necessario alcun permesso) alla possibilità di catturare periodicamente schermate, passando per la cancellazione di tutti i dati dell’utente senza che sia necessaria alcuna interazione “umana”.
